VRS stands for Video Relay Service. Using a video phone (VP) and high speed internet connection, TiveConnect VRS connects Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals with hearing telephone callers through a sign language interpreter.
TiveConnect VRS allows Deaf and Hard of Hearing callers to converse in real-time, in a more natural flow than text-based Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS).
TiveConnect VRS is free to the caller. VRS providers, including Tive, are compensated for their costs from the Interstate TRS Fund, supervised by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
